Port Douglas to Cape Tribulation
Your tour begins early this morning as you are collected from your accommodation and we head north along the scenic Highway to the Daintree River. After a short morning tea break, we board the boat for an informative one hour river cruise. Relax and enjoy this stunning location between two World Heritage areas - the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest. You will see nature at its best as you cruise by Estuarine Crocodiles, mangrove forests and other wildlife.
We ascend the Alexandra Range to witness a spectacular panoramic view of the tropical rainforest and the Coral Sea in the background. Experience the rainforest from above on the elevated National Park Boardwalk, whilst learning about the flora and fauna and amazing history of this ancient rainforest. For lunch enjoy a delicious gourmet barbecue amongst the amazing rainforest canopy. Today you have the opportunity to hand feed a kangaroo, meet “Boris” the saltwater crocodile and relax at the bar at Lync Haven animal refuge.
We then journey beyond Cape Tribulation along the 4WD Bloomfield Track to our private location at Emmagen Creek. Dive in and swim in the refreshing rainforest stream, spot turtles and fish or taste some of the exotic fruit of the rainforest. Later, take a swim at Cape Tribulation Beach (seasonal) or stroll along the beach and boardwalk to enjoy the views from the platform where the 'Rainforest meets the Reef'.
