Your holiday begins from the Gold Coast airport in Coolangatta, with a transfer into the mountains. There is no walking scheduled for today but there are plenty of facilities you can enjoy at the guesthouse and optional activities you can participate in.
Two Nights Accommodation: O’reilly’s Rainforest Retreat
Wake up early for a morning walk through excellent flora and fauna tracks to the “Wishing Tree” and then on to the stunning Moran Falls. After a relaxing break for lunch, you will make your way towards Canungra Creek, and walk through lush sub-tropical rainforest. Perhaps climb he giant fig tree for a bit of fun. Journey back to your accommodation and finish the day with a soak in the heated outdoor spa pool.
Today is a full day on the Lamington Traverse, where you will walk across the rainforest plateau on the Border Track to Binna Burra Lodge. The track is an incredible 25km long but the route is hardly challenging, with mostly flat grounds. The track emerges from the subtropical rainforest at several panoramic lookouts along the way.
Two Nights Accommodation: Binna Burra Eco Lodge
Hike to Bellbird Lookout and Lower Ballanjui Falls this morning, and then down into the Numinbah Valley. The conical shaped Egg Rock is a feature today along with the beautiful Little Nerang River. This is the first section of new track that has been constructed to extend the Lamington walking into the valley and up to the Springbrook Plateau on the other side.
From the Numinbah Valley, we head uphill onto the Springbrook Plateau. Highlights include hiking alongside the Little Nerang River past waterfall after waterfall. At Warringa Pool you can enjoy a refreshing dip in a rainforest swimming hole.

Enjoy breakfast before being transported back to the Gold Coast airport in Coolangatta. The Gold Coast is a beach lovers paradise and a great place to relax and enjoy the sunshine. It also offers great shopping, theme parks and entertainment.
