Your 6 day walking adventure begins with a tour of the city, exploring the scenic heritage walks through North Adelaide. See the Museum, the Art Gallery, and University before we enjoy an introductory tour at the National Wine Centre. Our next stop is the Cleland Wildlife Sanctuary where you will have the chance to meet Australia Iconic wildlife: Kangaroos and Koalas. Indulge in fine wine and food at the Bridgewater Mill, before we tour the Methode Champenoise Cellars and taste a selection of fine Petaluma wines. If you feel like exploring more, we can arrange a Mount Lofty Botanic Gardens afternoon walk. For dinner, we enjoy a meal at the Apothocary wine bar and sample more of South Australia's fine wines.

Today we head to McLaren Vale, internationally renowned for the wines it produces and only 40kms south of Adelaide. Featuring over 50 small wineries, its coastal location gives the region its distinctly Mediterranean feel. The most profound expression of “terroir” from McLaren Vale comes from the Shiraz grape, filled with aromas of confectionery, liquorice, spice and violets. Mid-morning we walk to fine boutique wineries and olive groves at the Onkaparinga Gorge. A late lunch today is enjoyed at the d’Arenberg winery restaurant with views over McLaren Vale. Our morning four hours (4km) walk will include half an hour stops at each of those wineries: Chapel Hill, Rosemount, Coriole, Kays and the Olive Grove. This afternoon's walk takes us to our accommodation in Willunga via the old railway line.

We wake up early this morning to visit the Ingoldby Road wineries including Stevens winery, the Scarpantoni family Estate and on to Hoffmans wines. Enjoy another gourmet meal at Woodstock, prepared by renowned chef Kay Cazzolatto. Afterwards we make a stop at the wineries on Kangarilla Road including Serafino Wines, Dennis of McLaren Vale and Wayne Thomas wines. We will travel 15km in total today. Dinner will be served at Mount Lofty House tonight.
One Nights Accommodation: Mt Lofty House
McLaren Vale has a unique character influenced by its German heritage and featuring a mix of large multinational wineries and smaller boutique wineries. We travel north to Barossa Valley and stroll through the Kaiser Stuhl Conservation Park. See kangaroos along the way before we reach Bethany. We walk to the picturesque Grant Burge Winery then head next door for lunch above the famous Jacobs Creek. In the afternoon, we will visit a few small boutique wineries like Rockfords, Vino Tinto, Kabinge and Charles Melton (6km walk). Our overnight accommodation and dinner is at Kabminye the Peppers Hermitage.
Barossa Valley and clare valley
Today we have time to explore the villages along the Barossa Way and on to Tanunda. We then continue en route to Peter Lehmanns Estate where we will enjoy a German style lunch in the cellar. Take in the views of the Valley from the lookout at Menglers Hills before we drive to the Clare Valley. This afternoon we walk the Riesling Trail along the old railway line to Thorn Park Country House in Clare.

This morning we continue along the Riesling Trail to Skillogalee winery for our last meal together. The Riesling Trail is best explored on foot or by bike and features ever-changing scenery and world-class wineries. We will visit around 6 wineries today and end our touring in Adelaide this evening.
