Gold Coast - Queensland
Situated an hours drive south of Brisbane, the Gold Coast is Australia's
most popular holiday playground with 70km of golden beaches washed by Pacific
Ocean surf.
Surfers Paradise is the central hub of the Gold Coast region and contains
a large amount of accommodation, restaurants, nightclubs and shopping facilities
all within easy walking distance of each other. A number of coastal communities
dotted along the coastline provide a choice of pace and different coastal
experiences. The Gold Coast Broadwater is Australia`s largest sheltered waterway
and provides access to South Stradbroke Island which provides a natural coastal
experience within 30 minutes of all the activity of the Gold Coast.
The region is ideal for those looking for activity or just soaking up the
sun. The enormous selection of attractions include family theme parks, wildlife
sanctuaries and some of the largest shopping facilities in Queensland.
There are facilities for every kind of sport, including approximately 60
golf courses – many are world class course designed by golfing greats.
The Gold Coast is the ultimate in watersports and outdoor activities are
available to suit every interest and age.
The cool rainforests and mountains of the nearby World Heritage Listed hinterland,
just 30 minutes from the coast, offer rainforest bushwalks and over 200 cascading
waterfalls. This area offers World Heritage Listed national parks, 260km
of graded walking trails and Australia’s largest are of sub-tropical
rainforest. Enjoy bushwalking, mountain villages, art and craft gallery whilst
discovering some of Australia’s wildlife. This region is popular for
wineries and also provides peaceful mountain lodges and resorts.

World is a working movie studio that also provides tourist attractions,
stunt shows and movie and cartoon characters to entertain the kids. Wet
'n Wild is a comprehensive mixture of slides, toboggans, wave pools,
twisters together with facilities for the younger children. And finally
the Seaworld, the largest aquatic park in Australia. Performing dolphins,
whales, seals together with waterskiing and aquaballet displays. |
