Western Australia’s climate is varied and ranges from arid tropical in Australia’s North West region to cool temperate zones in the South. Perth enjoys a truly mediterranean climate with long hot summers (December – February) and mild cool winters (June – August).

Perth is the capital of Western Australia State. The city is situated over Swan River. This is one of the most isolated cities on the world. It is geographically closer to East Timor and Jakarta, Indonesia, than it is to Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane. Kalgoorlie, 595km east of Perth, is a thriving mining town, which offers your clients tours of open cut mines and opportunities to prospect for gold. One of Australia’s best known landmarks, Wave Rock is a spectacular wave-like rock formation carved by wind, rain and time. It is situated near York, one of Western Australia’s most historic towns. In Spring the region is transformed as the arid landscape becomes a bright tapestry of wildflowers. North West WA

North West

The North-West region is one of the world’s last true wilderness areas. The rugged ranges and coastline of the Kimberley present a unique mix of seclusion and majestic scenery. The Pilbara is famous for its rich red earth and rocky landscape of Karijini National Park. Newman, the southern gateway to the Karijini National Park, is a purpose-built mining town created in the late 1960`s. The town has evolved into a popular stopover destination for exploring the impressive beauty of the Karijini National Park and Hamersley Gorges. Newman is also know for having the world’s largest open-cut mine extracting iron-ore. Broome was once the pearling capital of the world. It is also famous for Cable Beach, a pure white 22km band bordering a brilliant blue ocean. For a different adventure, your clients can visit the dinosaur footprints preserved in rock at Gantheaume Point.More info>


South West WA

South West

The south-west of Western Australia offers a variety of travel experiences. Your clients can indulge in the gastronomic delights of world-class wineries and gourmet vineyard restaurants near the Margaret River, only a 30 minute drive south of Perth. For an amazing experience, don’t let your clients miss walking among the tree tops of the giant trees in the Southern Forest. Albany, a resort town 6 hours south east of Perth, features great surfing spots, beautiful coastal scenery in the Torndirrup National Park and whale watching from July to October.
