Today you will join a day tour and travel from Alice Springs to the spectacular West MacDonnell Ranges. Pass the John Flynn Memorial then stop at well-known watering hole Simpsons Gap. Continue on to magical Angkerle (Standley Chasm). Walk into the chasm along the stony watercourse lined with cycads, ghost gums, acacias and cypress pines. You will also visit Ellery Creek Big hole which carves its way through a gorge in the Ranges. Lunch will be enjoyed at the Glen Helen Resort, followed by a visit to the Glen Helen Gorge. Your tour also includes Ormiston Gorge and the ancient cliff-face paintings at Ochre Pits.
Today, make your way to the heart of the Red Centre – Ayers Rock, or Uluru as it is also known. Ayers Rock stands 348m above the ground and reaches over 700m under ground. Uluru is also home to the World Heritage listed Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, which is of extreme importance to the local Aboriginal people. Today, you will visit the 36 mystical domes of Kata Tjuta and the base of the Walpa Gorge. Then witness the striking color changes of Uluru at sunset, while enjoying a glass of wine and some nibbles. Head back to your accommodation in Ayers Rock. Stay for 2 nights.

KINGS CANYON DAY TOUR
Today we journey to the remote outback and spot wildlife waking up for the day. Enjoy a cooked breakfast at Kings Creek cattle and camel station before we reach the canyon itself. Standing at the rim of Kings Canyon makes you feel like you’re on the edge of the earth. The flat face and sheer drop of the canyon walls are both frightening and inspiring in their size and stark, natural beauty.
You have the option of a 3 hour Rim Walk of Kings Canyon or a more relaxing Creek Bed walk. The Rim Walk is for those with a good level of fitness but you will be rewarded with breathtaking views of Watarrka National Park and into the canyon itself. The Creek Bed Walk is a 2 kilometer stroll with views of the canyon rim. Following this you will have time to relax at Kings Canyon Resort, take a dip in the pool or for Creek Bed walkers, take an optional helicopter flight (extra cost).
Ayers rock to alice springs
On the final day of your journey head back to Alice Springs, Australia's most famous outback town. The day is free for you to enjoy at your leisure before departing Alice Springs. Visit the Aboriginal art galleries, historic sites, or take a desert drive to see the gorges, waterholes, and cliffs. Your Red Centre experience ends here in Alice Springs.
