Australia’s North West, combining the Kimberley and Pilbara, is one of the world’s last great frontiers, a land of diversity, rich in history and indigenous culture.

The Pilbara experience is nature at it’s most rugged and awe-inspiring. Karijini National Park is a landscape of ancient ranges, breathtaking gorges and stony watercourses. The tranquil oasis of the Millstream-Chichester National Park, more than 200 offshore islands and the sweeping plains of the Western Desert all offer opportunities for unforgettable holiday adventures. The Pilbara’s tourism jewel is the Karijini National Park which features an intricate network of 100 metre deep-sided chasms and gorges that criss cross the Park and each other at breathtaking junctions. The Karijini gorges are arguably Australia’s finest, whether you are viewing them from the top or hiking down to the base through native flora and swimming in crystal clear water pools.

Kimberley is a land as ancient as it is vast. The Kimberley is home to the beehive like rock formations of the Bungle Bungle Range in World Heritage listed Purnululu National Park. A cultural treasure trove rich in Aboriginal art and natural history. Broome is the southern gateway to the Kimberley Region. Broome was built on the pearling industry which attracted Malay people, Japanese and Europeans who mixed with the local Aboriginals to create a very cosmopolitan population and culturally-diverse town. Today, pearling is still alive and thriving in this exotic tourist destination. Broome’s biggest draw cards are its laid-back lifestyle, arid tropical weather and magnificent Cable Beach, 26 kms of pristine sand washed clean daily by the turquoise blue waters of the Indian Ocean.
