Cradle Mountain Wildlife Camping Safari - 4 day
4 Days observing a plethora of native and endemic species in the wild while hiking in one of Australia’s premier natural destinations. Our bush campsite only a few minutes from Cradle Mountain makes a great base to explore the surrounding hills and forests. Wallabies, Pademelons, Snakes, Possums, Platypus, Tassie Devils, Quolls and Wombats are just some of the species we are likely to see. See Devils up close with the Devils Sanctuary tour. The last day we head north to coast to Narawntapu National Park to see coastal animals and have an optional sunset penguin sighting tour.
We aim to stay away from the crowds, from camping in the bush to sleeping beside the ocean under the stars.
Each day we participate in walks from 1- 5 hours and travel by four-wheel-drive troop carriers and Landrovers which are ideal to access remote areas. Each night we experience bush camping and delicious meals with campfire cooking.
When we camp we use tents or you can sleep under the stars and we supply cosy swags. We see Tasmania’s unique wildlife in the wild.
4WD vehicles
We use 4WD troop carriers that carry a maximum of 10 passengers. We access remote areas requiring a considerable amount of off–road driving. The seats are side-facing so you can talk to everyone in your group! We use 4WD vehicles rather than large buses because we believe that this is the best way for you to experience wilderness Tasmania.
Camping equipment
We use high quality light weight 3 man bushwalking tents and supply cosy swags, so all you need is your sleeping bag. All camping and cooking equipment is provided.
Get involved
Our tours are designed to give you the experience of bush camping. Assisting with some camp duties such as, preparing meals, washing up, erecting tents etc. is often necessary. If the whole group gets involved, then this can really help to make the trip an enjoyable one.
