Go beyond the ‘great’ and into an underwater wonderland – your cruise to discover the magic of the Great Barrier Reef will venture to Agincourt Reef on the Quicksilver wavepiercing catamaran, where you have a unique opportunity to soak up the pristine natural setting before you. Snorkel past iridescent coral formations and colourful marine-life – an undersea treasure-trove as far as the eye can see. Relax up on deck surrounded by the vivid blue of the Coral Sea, bask in the golden Australian sunshine and enjoy a tropical lunch on board before returning to Palm Cove.

Depart the holiday hotspot of Cairns, flying to the heart of the Red Centre, Uluru. This afternoon you’re off to the domes of Kata Tjuta, where you’ll join your Journey Director for a guided walk through Walpa Gorge. Later enjoy nibbles and sparkling wine while you watch Uluru change colour as the sun sets below the horizon.

Rise early to experience the renowned Field of Light, where 50,000 glass spheres in colours of ochre, deep violet, blue and gentle white, have been installed within sight of Uluru. Wander through the paths and then, from the dune-top, watch as the dawn creeps across the desert plain and lights up the Red Centre. After breakfast you will have the opportunity to take a walk around part of the base of Uluru and hear timeless stories, see rock art, and visit Mutitjulu Waterhole. Then it’s off to the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre for an insight into the history of the local Anangu people. This evening enjoy a Local Dining Experience under the sparkling outback sky at the award-winning Sounds of Silence Dinner.

Experience the magic of the sunrise over Uluru before heading back to the hotel for breakfast. From here you will travel towards Kings Canyon. Later this evening enjoy a delicious dinner at Carmichael’s Restaurant.

This morning visit the School of the Air, a crucial service providing education to children living in remote Australian communities. You will also visit the Royal Flying Doctor Service, a facility that provides medical assistance to those who live in remote Australia. This afternoon, Alice Springs gives way to cosmopolitan Sydney.

An evening at leisure follows your exhilarating day on the water.
