Just to the south of Hobart is Bruny Island. At roughly the same size as Singapore and with a population of only 400 people, it is hard to find any more authentic food and wine experience than what is offered on the Island. 

Travel by ferry to the island, look out for seals and penguins as you sail. On the island, admire natural sights like The Neck and Truganini Lookout, and take leisurely walks to look for wallabies and other local wildlife.
