Our COVID-19 flexibility promise

With respect to COVID-19 (Coronavirus) the health and safety of our guests, our suppliers, our staff and the wider community is of the highest priority - nothing will change this.

Australia – Stage One
On Friday, 08 May 2020 the federal government announced a three-stage plan to re-open Australia with the goal of reaching stage three by July.

This has followed the great success of the lockdowns imposed by all states working together to achieve the goal to contain the virus at large. Australia has had several days where there have been a low number of new cases to report despite having some of the best testing numbers in the world.

We are extremely proud of what the whole of Australia has achieved to enable us all to get back amongst our great outdoors as soon as possible. Our physical office will now open again but our staff will remain equipped to work at 100% capacity from home should they need to.

We remain committed to being there for you seven days a week.

Trans-Tasman Bubble
We are really excited about the talks happening between the Prime Minister of Australia and New Zealand who plan to open up the boarders to each other soon.

Australia is a fantastic holiday destination and with our ability to customise itineraries we can ensure a trip of a lifetime for both first time visitors and those coming back for more but still wanting a unique experience.

We have also heard hints about talks with the South Pacific Islands and also Singapore and look forward to updating you about other countries being added to our bubble soon.

We’ll Always Be Here
While the borders are temporarily closed, First Light Travel is and always will be open for business - we are already taking future bookings for both 2020 and beyond.

We’ve been here since 2001, and have delivered amazing Australia and NZ travel experiences for thousands of people - we are firmly established business with plans and procedures for situations like the one we face.
