Our COVID-19 flexibility promise

With respect to COVID-19 (Coronavirus) the health and safety of our guests, our suppliers, our staff and the wider community is of the highest priority - nothing will change this.

Scott Morrison Prime Minister

Australia – State Based Stages
Right now there are varying state-based stages with a few too many details to mention here so please head over to the Official COVID-19 Website and scroll to the bottom of the page to find out everything you need to know about the state(s) you plan to visit.

We are still open for business as usual regardless of the stages and have equipped our staff to work at 100% capacity from home so we can still provide you with our uncompromised award-winning service.

Trans-Tasman Bubble
Whilst there have naturally been a few set-backs recently, we remain hopeful that the Prime Minister of Australia and New Zealand will succeed in safely opening their borders to each other as soon as possible and that other countries will then follow.

Australia is a fantastic country to explore and with our ability to customise itineraries we can ensure a trip of a lifetime for both first-time visitors to a state and those coming back for more but still wanting a unique experience.

We’ll Always Be Here
While the borders are temporarily closed, First Light Travel is and always will be open for business - we are already taking future bookings for both 2021 and 2022.

We’ve been here since 2001, and have delivered amazing Australia travel experiences for thousands of people - we are a firmly established business with plans and procedures for situations like the one we face.

Up to Date Travel Information
The most accurate and up to date information regarding the status of Australia and it’s borders comes directly from the government so please find some useful links to guide you below.

Our Flexibility Promise
Right now, it’s not possible for people to travel freely to New Zealand or Australia, and anyone with travel plans in the near future will need to postpone their plans.

To facilitate this, we have waived our normal change fees and will allow anybody who needs or wants to delay their travel to do so indefinitely without penalty from us.

Any payments you have made to us for your travel plans will be held securely and credited against future bookings.

Cancellation and change fees from some individual suppliers may still apply, but because of the strength of our relationships and longevity in the industry, the vast majority of our suppliers are happy to be as flexible as we are.

We ask that you work closely with your travel consultant regarding your travel plans - they are here to help.
