The Blessing of the Fleet in Perth’s historical port of Fremantle has been celebrated for over 70 years. Statues representing the two towns in Italy from which most of Fremantle’s fishermen migrated are carried in procession from the Basilica of St Patrick to the Fishing Boat Harbour.
